Why I Love Centsible Sawyer
So I've been compiling this list of al the things that I want to check out for Black Friday and admittedly that has take most of my time lately. But today I took a break and was catching up reading the blogs I love and I saw Denise at Centsible Sawyer has taken care of my Black Friday list for me. She's compiled a list of Wal Mart's excellent deal and organized them (and I hadn't even seen the sewing machine!). She has a great blog and a giveaway for a $50 gift card going on just to help with the shopping. Go check her out!

I demand Satisfaction
Isn't it awesome when someone sees you doing something that you are clearly struggling with, and that same person thinks he can do it better than you, so you challenge him and he can't do it at all?

Ahhh...Hubby, loading the dishwasher just isn't your niche. I love you anyway.

Thoughts on Babywearing

What's my favorite accessory? My Little Man! It's so great to have him strapped to me. He relaxes and enjoys himself when we're out for so much longer than when he is in the stroller or the shopping cart.

While I love having him attached to me, I am still looking for a better carrier, the Baby Bjorn can be killer on the back and I see so many cute ones at http://www.nonnyandboo.com/

Steph over at Adventures in Babywearing rocks the pocket sling. She's doing a giveaway at her site: http://www.adventuresinbabywearing.com/2008/11/im-kanga-to-her-roo.html

I hope I can try out a new, pretty carrier!

Giving Thanks

This post is for my hubby, who, even though I was clearly irritated by his asking that I go to bed rather than type this late, asked anyway because he wants to make sure that I'm always ok and "not so beaten up" at the end of the day. I love you, Range. Thank you for taking care of me and our kids' Wii needs.

Silly Thursday

Little Lady had school pictures today and I think she deserves a silly picture up because she said it was hard to stay smiling with her friends.

Santa? Already?
We just went to the mall and who were we greeted by? None other than Santa himself. Little Lady said all she wanted was a train and a tree and then ran away for things with flashing lights.

Halloween is barely over, we're still singing "Grim Grinning Ghosts" and "Monster Mash" and already Santa's here. It just feels a bit rushed. What do you think?

Because I Can't Believe It

Why are there fifty fricking "Yes on Prop 8" signs down the street from our house? You won, get your garbage out of my sight! Why don't these people who knock on our door get it? We're all the same! I think that my husband has gotten a bit sick of me talking about it, but I really can't believe that Prop 8 passed. It's been almost forty years since the Stonewall Riots and yet there's prejudice and rights being stripped away. It makes my heart hurt for those out there that were planning on getting married on a special day and now can't. It pains me to think that my Little Man or Little Lady could someday (when they're older than 8 months and 3 years) realize someday that they are gay, then find that perfect person who loves them, and then can't be in a matrimonial state with them. It's ridiculous that anyone would say that gay marriage corrupts children, if anything it makes kids of same sex couples feel normal and it gives kids who are gay the ability to believe in fairy tale romance like any other kid (thank you, Disney, for that, by the way).

I feel terrible for those people in limbo who may have their existing marriages not recognized and I can't wait for a time when we will actually have a separation of church and state!
