A Fun Giveaway
Over at Little Window Shoppe there is a huge giveaway going on with so many fun prizes (I really hope I can get the kids a koi shirt!!!) I love the bags and stamp, the magazine, and I think the dvds could be very useful and good to share. I hope to win, but try your luck, too. Even if you don't nab the prize, Little Window Shop is a great blog!

Best Board Game
Tonight it's Scattegories. We're playing--Hubby a friend and I. It brings back the best memories of me sitting in my room playing it by myself as a kid because most kids hate the word games and want some big bang game like Mouse Trap...

There's a cool giveaway going on at Time To Play Family Game Night Go check it out!

One Monkey

Well, despite the puppy chewing the pull cord off the mower and eating the motor out of the Scooby Birthday blow up, Monkey's party was a success.

We spent eighty dollars and fed all twenty four people. (We spent fifty five on decorations, though). Everyone really seemed to love the Asian cuisine. It was pretty easy to do, too.

More than anything right now, I'm tired. Monkey is finally on the mend--though last time I said that ear infections and asthma meds were right around the corner. The puppy is sleeping outside. I can finally sleep! Although I don't want to, because I just want to scoop up monkey and squeeze him until 11:46 tomorrow night, when I will finally admit that he is...ONE YEAR OLD

Hubby's Dream Come True
Over at Skimbaco they are giving away an iPod touch. Can you imagine? Hubby said the one thing he wanted for Christmas was an iPod, this is our chance! And as icing on the cake, as part of Walmart's elevenmoms she's giving away a $10 iTunes gc for downloading their favorite love songs.

Here's Hoping!

Build a Bear
So last time Goose went to Build a Bear, it was with Dad and Monkey Man and I stayed at home to clean and get ready for the holidays. I totally missed the experience. Now she talks about it all the time, almost as much as the new dog. Speaking of the dog... Goose is so responsible with him, and with "planning Brother's birthday party" I'd really love to treat her and take her to Build a Bear, which is why it would be so great to win this giveaway over at Thinking Some More A Build a Bear Gift Card? How perfect!

Our Favorite Food
A perennial favorite food in our house is "Quesadilla Casserole". It's great that the family loves it, because it also might just be the easiest thing to make ahead of time and freeze until you want to cook it, or save for leftovers. Goose loves to mix it up and shred chicken with two forks. I make it to feed four, but you could easily add extra beans and/or chicken to stretch.

3 medium to large cooked chicken breasts-shredded
1 can of low sodium black beans
1 cup shredded cheddar (your favorite variety, we like sharp here)
1/4 cup salsa
1 tortilla
optional Nacho Cheese Doritos

Boil the chicken breasts (we usually do this with cayene pepper and chili powder for extra heat). Shred. Put ripped up tortilla (usually prepared by our Goose) in bottom of a casserole dish. Mix Salsa, 3/4 of the cheese, chicken and can of beans together and add into casserole dish. Cook at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, top with remaining cheese and Doritos for extra class, and cook for another 10 minutes. Serve.

It's great as leftovers, too.
