She Had So Many Carpet Samples She Didn't Know What to Do |
Ziggy is a man of many talents. In addition to crocheting clothes and blankets for the kiddos, and repairing doors, reaching things that are high up, consistently beating me at Scattegories and Super Mario Bros., he's a great accountant. But lately he's had to do other projects for his job and had been buiding a database/spreadsheet type GUI for a new company his company's tenant now had in it's building.
The company is a home design center and the waste is incredible. So when they had five hundred carpet samples that they were going to chuck in the dumpster he gave me a call. So now we have massive amounts of carpet, and while the kids greatly enjoy turning them into steps and forts and hopscotch tracks, I'm looking for homes for these poor little carpet orphans.
I may try to make something here, though definitely not that huge divider; and Ludo's doghouse will be getting new insulation. Plus there's this neat company called reCreate that does crafts for kids with excess that business don't use and give to them. They're around town and said they'd take 100. But what now? Any ideas? |

Wow that's a lot of carpet samples!
Personally I'd make a padded room, cause we could really use one here.
I do think they would make a great floor for a play room
